HOW LONG SHOULD CHILDREN DO HOMEWORK?

INFOPARENTS.COM: Recent information from studies indicate 10 minutes nightly per grade is considered a reasonable goal for a child to spend in home study (i.e. 10 minutes in Gr.1, 20 minutes in Gr.2, 30 minutes in Gr.3 etc.).

Homework is the independent practice of previously taught material, so ritual, routine and regularity is emphasized for school-aged children.
